Community Action Teams
One fact is true for all pet related emergencies. More help is needed, faster.
Being there when the help is needed

Every year there are hundreds of pet emergencies, including pet abuse. We encounter puppy mills, breeders, animal fighting rings, hoarders and an untold number of other inhumane situations.
The problem for everyone wanting to help in these situations is, can you help quickly enough and can you offer the right type of assistance. This is been an ongoing problem.
The APA SPCA has spent a year in weekly meetings coming up with a plan to better address these situations. The result has been the APA SPCA Community Action Teams.
When a cause that meets our guidelines has been identified we have the ability to recruit volunteers, fundraisers and foster care providers to lend assistance. Organization and training is provided to make these efforts effective and ethical. Funds raised are not only tax-deductible to the donor but are managed with extreme care and to our high ethical standards.
